Bunny lines are most prominent when you scrunch up your nose. They run from the inside corner of your eyes diagonally downwards towards the centre of your nose. They occur as part of the natural ageing process, although can come on more quickly in those who are very expressive. They are caused by action of the nasalis muscle, which sits around the bridge of your nose like a horseshoe.
In rare cases, they can become slightly more noticeable after treatment of crows feet. The nasalis muscle and the orbicularis oculi muscle have opposing effects, and treatment of crows feet can make bunny lines more prominent. This is easily corrected by injecting the nasalis muscle at the same time, or at your 2 week review.
